The Institute of Pastoral Management for Batch-2, which is a flagship programme of the Pastoral Concerns Department of the Church of South India (CSI) Synod, has begun on 16th AUgust 2017 with 60 participants from the Dioceses of the CSI. The IPM was inaugurated by Rev. Dr. Vadapally Prasada Rao, the bishop in Dornakal Diocese and the Chairperson of the Department of Pastoral Concerns. Rev. Dr. Jayachitra, Director of the Department of Christian Education, and Rev. Maxcin John, the Director of the Department of Mission & Evangelism, have participated in the Inaugural function. Rev. Dr. Allan Palanna (Department of Theology and Ethics, UTC, Bangalore) led the Bible Study on Planning aspect of the Management. Mr. Sony Oommen Thomas took sessions on Organizational Development with emphasis on the Organizational Culture, Behaviour and the Leadership Traits that contribute to the Organizational Development. Rev. Solomon J Paul, Youth Director of CSI Synod shared on the Church's response towards the Migrants today. The IPM lasts for four days. A report in detail will be published soon.
