The Peter Cator Scripture Knowledge Exam is conducted for the Lower Grade (Class IX) and Higher Grade (Class XI) students in our CSI institutions and Churches, in honor of an English lay leader Peter Cator, a Barrister at Madras High Court during 1830s.  Children from 9 Dioceses have participated in the exam on February 8th, 2014.  About 3000 children wrote the exam in 52 centres.  Awards function to the 1st, 2nd and 3rd Prize winners in each category was organized by the Christian Education Department, CSI Synod, at CSI Corley Higher Seconday School, Tambaram.  Awards were given away to the 24 prize winners from 4 regions i.e., Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Karnataka and Telugu region, in a grand PRIZE DAY celebrations of Corley Higher Secondary School, Tambaram that was flanked by the officers of the Synod and the Officers of the Madaras Diocese.  Rt. Rev. Dr. B.D. Prasada Rao, the Chairperson, Christian Education Department has greeted the gathering and shared the concept of the Peter Cator Exam.  After which, the Moderator Most rev. Dr. G. Dyvasirvadam, The Deputy Moderator Rt. Rev. Thomas K. Oommen and the General Secretary, Rev. Dr. D.R. Sadananda gave away the awards to the winners.  It was a momentous occassion for the Corley School when C. Bhavani of that school won the over all highest marks with 95% in Lower Grade.

We express our sincere gratitude to Dr. Raju, the Head Master of Corley Higher Secondary School for hosting the programme.  The award winners were overwhelmed with joy for the memorable event organized by the Christian Education Department with the support of the Corley Higher Secondary School.
