The Rayalaseema diocese conducted a Gender Equity program at CSI Shalom town church, Mydukur on 9th September 2017. The resource person Advocate. Jayasree, conducted sessions on “The Protection of Women from Domestic Violence Act, 2005”. Women’s Fellowship members and the women leaders from the surrounding villages participated in this training. Around 100 participants were challenged and motivated to take up Gender issues and strive towards Gender equity after understanding these issues in the light of the scripture.
In MS Degree College, Gooty on 16th September 2017 the training sessions on “Sexual Harassment of Women at Workplace (Prevention, Prohibition & Redressal) Act 2013” was given to heads of the institutions and working women from the different organisations. The President of Diocesan Women’s Fellowship Mrs. Lily Prasada Rao’s efforts along with Mrs. KP Suhasini, Mrs. K. Rani Vivekam and Rev. Jeevan for oragnising the trainings during September 2017 under the CSI – Gender Equity Timetable (GEET) Programme is remarkable.
