“New Models of Evangelism in Engaging the Migrants: A spirituality of Hope” program organised by the Council for World Mission for the East Asia region at Hong Kong

Rev Solomon Paul, the Director of the Youth Department represented the Church of South India at the “New Models of Evangelism in Engaging the Migrants: A spirituality of Hope” program organised by the Council for World Mission for the East Asia region at Hong Kong from June 19th to 23rd 2017. Church representatives across East Asian region were present to discuss and deliberate on the new models of evangelism to engage with the migrants in their own contexts. Panel discussions, presentations from the experts in the field, immersion program, and worship and Bible studies were the highlights of this consultation.

The participants were able to learn from each other’s context and also recognise the various methods employed in catering to the needs of the migrant communities. Rev Solomon Paul, being one of the panellist also presented the work of the Church of South India towards equipping and empowering the Migrant communities through project MITHRA.

The Church of South India congratulates CWM for taking this initiative to address this problem at the global level and pledges her solidarity with the various mission partners in the ministry towards migrants.
