A workshop on mapping the Vulnerability of Girl Children was held on 8th and 9th June 2017 at CSI Centre, Chennai. Sixty participants from 35 congregations of 16 Diocese attended workshop. The participants were drawn from congregations who have been trained in Child Rights and Protection and intervened locally in their community. Dr. Rohan Gideon, Assistant Professor, Tamilnadu Theological Seminary and Rev. Asir Ebenezer, Director, CSI-SEVA facilitated workshop. Rev. Solomon Paul, Director, Department of Youth, CSI Synod and Rev. Beena Priyadharshini, Presbyter, Karnataka Central diocese reflected on the theme in the morning devotions respectively on both the days. The Rev. Dr. D.R. Sadananda spoke during the valedictory function in which the delegates reaffirmed their commitment towards the rights and protection of the girl children. The suggestions and recommendations from this workshop will be incorporated while drafting the Child Protection Policy for the Church of South India.
